Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger Created a Show Just About Their Motorcycle Racing. It's Coming Soon

Arch Motorcycles took a prototype racing, and Keanu and Gard are here to tell the tale.

Arch Motorcycles' bikes have a presence that's just unmatched. They're low, the engine sits proudly at the center, and they almost appear to have been carved from a solid piece of aluminum. There's a heft to them that's unmistakable. Yet, the prototype motorcycle that Arch's Gard Hollinger and Keanu Reeves took racing in MotoAmerica's Super Hooligan class last season doesn't exactly follow that ethos.

Racing isn't just about power, it's about weight and agility, and as cool as Arch's normal motorcycles are, they aren't built for the track. But Hollinger and Reeves wanted to go racing, and Roland Sands' Superhooligan class on the MotoAmerica racing calendar, proved to perfect a chance to pass up, as it's basically a run-what-you-brung series where almost anyone can compete.

They would, however, be going up against the big dawgs of the series, i.e., the folks are Harley and Indian, as well as Ducati, KTM, Lightfighter, and Yamaha. And to make things all the more interesting, the two founders of the company decided to record the whole thing and put together a docuseries about their campaign, which will debut next month and is titled Hooligans: The Arch Racing Project

Having seen the first cadre of episodes, it's definitely worth your time if you're a fan of Arch, Gard and Keanu, and Super Hooligan racing or motorcycle racing in general. Heck, maybe this is my sign to finally start racing pavement?

The show will debut on Samsung TV Plus, which bills itself as "a premium global entertainment service committed to delivering exceptional experiences for everyone and every moment...The streaming service carries over 4,300 ad-supported linear channels across 30 countries and is accessible exclusively on active Samsung devices." That means if you own a Samsung device, excluding fridges and washing machines (come on, I own both), you'll be able to stream the series for free.

As for the show itself, it follows Gard and Keanu's efforts, along with the team at Arch and beyond, as they enter the dizzying fray of Super Hooligan racing. There's obviously trials and tribulations, as the team doesn't have a whole heck of a lot of time or cash to put into the series compared to those like Indian or Harley-Davidson, which both have bespoke race teams with massive support structures. That sounds odd, but Arch Motorcycles is basically a family business in terms of size. It's a mom and pop compared to the behemoths like Wal-Mart, so the team is lean and mean, and they're tasked with making everything work.

According to the press release, "Hooligans: The ARCH Racing Project chronicles Reeves and Hollinger, founders of ARCH Motorcycle, as they shift gears from building world-class machines to competing in the high-stakes world of professional racing in MotoAmerica, America’s premier motorcycle road racing series, where they line up against the best in the Super Hooligan National Championship. With the same precision, craftsmanship and relentless drive that define their brand, the ARCH team sets out to prove they can hold their own against the giants of motorsports."

What do you think?

The show will debut on July 12th on Samsung TV Plus, and runs a total of six episodes detailing the team's Super Hooligan season. I won't spoil it, but the tale is exactly what you'd want from the pairing, as there's heart and levity and most of all, motorcycles.

Oh yeah, and RideApart may have interviewed the duo about everything, so stay tuned...
