Triumph Trident 660 Receives a Price Cut in the US. But This Isn’t a Surprise
Triumph just announced that it's revising the MSRP of the 2026 Trident 660 and, thankfully, it's going down. But it's not surprising.
It is uncommon to hear of a motorcycle model getting a price cut once the official MSRP has been announced. You'd imagine I was surprised, then, when I heard that that's exactly what's happening with the Triumph Trident 660 for 2026. But I wasn't. I was almost expecting it.
I wasn't expecting a price cut because the Trident 660 was bad. When I tested the bike earlier this year, I loved it and found it to be one of the best offerings in the middleweight naked space. The biggest, bordering on only, issue I had with the bike was that it was set to go on sale for $8,995 while its bigger, better sibling, the Trident 800, costs just $1,000 more.
From the brakes to the suspension and power on offer, it was very hard to recommend a Trident 660 over the Trident 800, with just $1,000 separating the two machines. In Europe, the price differential isn't a dealbreaker because, for many riders who'll buy a Trident 660 there, that's the most powerful bike their license will allow. But in the US, where you can buy either machine as long as you have the cash, the Trident 660 would almost never come out on top. Hence, the reason that I believe Triumph revised the MSRP of the Trident 660 and lowered it by $250 to $8,745.

Now, as well as gaining more power, sharper style and enhanced capability, the Trident 660 has gained a tempting new price. This will hopefully make it an even more compelling choice for customers.”
The new MSRP came into effect on June 3. The Trident 660 colors/trims that receive the adjustment include the Triple Tribute Edition, Stone Grey, and Cosmic Yellow. Canada’s MSRP remains unchanged. A great bike just became an even better deal, so if you were on the fence about a Trident 660, I'd take this as a sign.\
