Jason Momoa's On The Roam Partners with Japan's TT&Co. for Helmet Collab

There's no denying the man knows how to cultivate a motorcycling image.

I've been a fan of Jason Momoa since his turn as Ronon Dex in the Stargate spinoff series, Atlantis. The man has just oozed this broody likeability that he's carried with him throughout his career. It also didn't hurt that the man was a die-hard motorcycle enthusiast, either.

As Momoa's risen through Hollywood—he'll be playing the intergalatic motorcycle-riding bounty hunter Lobo real soon in DC's Supergirl movie—he's used it to fund a great many hobbies, the most important to RideApart being his On The Roam company, which has partnered with Harley-Davidson in the past.

But time and tide wait for no one, and On The Roam is once again partnering with another motorcycle brand, but this time, it won't be apparel. It's a helmet and one that'll come directly from Japan. Specifically, it's a collaboration with TT&Co. out of Tokyo.

And I'm stoked to see what the two will do.

For those unfamiliar with TT&Co., the brand has been building classic and vintage-style motorcycle gear since 2015, and really diving into the world of old-school motorcycle helmet styles that bring modern safety and period-correct style together for new riders around the world.

According to the brand's website, "TT&Co. started in the garage as a custom motorcycle shop, fueled by our love for classic American iron. In 2015, we turned to helmet making, carrying that same vintage soul and rider-first mindset into everything we build. Our crew is nothing but motorcyclists who pour sweat into crafting helmets with both attitude and comfort. We constantly fine-tune our work through miles of real-world riding, chasing that raw appeal that's hard to come by these days."

As for Momoa's signature helmet, that's still under wraps. All we have to go on is a teaser image of the packaging, as well as a very blurry image of what looks to be Jason riding one of his many vintage Harley-Davidsons wearing some form of open-face helmet. I'm going out on a limb here, but it may be the one that TT&Co. and he have cooked up. The packaging also features Momoa's On The Roam signature "shark teeth" design that is based on Momoa's own Hawaiian ʻaumākua forearm, scalp, and hand tattoos.

We won't have to wait too long before we get to see what the two have built together, as based on the caption of the above post, it's set to be revealed sometime in the very near future. Stay tuned.
