Rocking Riders: Be Part of the Ride Expeditions
Don't you just love discovering awesome new riders who take us along on their two-wheel adventures?
Every Friday, we introduce you to awesome riders who give us a unique look of the world on two wheels and, lucky for us, make YouTube videos out of it.
So far, I have introduced you to some pretty awesome riders who share their motorcycle adventures and advice, local and abroad, in their videos. This week, I decided to go with something a little different where you actually get to partake in the adventure and be the Rocking Rider yourself.
What better way to sell your bike tours than to show people what they’re getting themselves into—or missing out on? That’s exactly what UK-base Ride Expeditions decided to do. Their 2-minute format YouTube videos introduce us to their different routes through some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world straddling a Royal Enfield Classic 500 or a Honda CRF250L.
The team at Ride Expeditions specializes in tours in Asia, including the Himalayas, Cambodia, and India. Recently, South Africa has been added to the list and you can now take a trip through Cape Crusader, spot giraffes, whales, and lions while enjoying the African dirt roads on BMW F700GS. Whichever destination you choose, you are in for an epic road trip off the beaten paths, lead by a seasoned guide. For those looking to get started on worldwide motorcycle road trips without all the challenges and risks of figuring it all by yourself, this is a good place to start.
Their videos integrating drone shots and GoPro footage of the mountains and rugged Cambodian landscape are breathtaking and make me want to pack my bags and leave yesterday. The best part, I found, is that a portion of the admittedly not cheap travel fares is donated to local charities or schools and the company even plants a tree on each of its travellers’ behalf. A tourism company with a purpose—I can get behind that!
