Created in 2006, International Female Ride Day (IFRD) is an initiative of Motoress founder Vicki Gray that promotes female riders around the world and encourages women to adopt and embrace the two-wheel lifestyle. This year's ride, which gives riders, passengers, and enthusiasts alike the ability to share their passion for all things motorcycle, hits the road on May 5, 2018.
What do you need to do be part of this global event? Just ride. Whether on your own, with a group of friends or by joining a group event, all you need is a set of wheels and the open road. You also need to show your colors by printing the IFRD windscreen flyer or sporting the official event t-shirt.
Along the way, document your ride and enter the photo contest by sharing your picture or video on the IFRD official Facebook page and spread the word on your social media using the #IFRD tag. Get a few pro tips from the team at Motoress on how to prepare for the event and make your ride your own. In a short Facebook or Instagram video, tell the world why you are a Moto Angel—a riding enthusiast who thinks motorcycle gear shouldn’t compromise on style—and enter the Moto Angels Contest to win a $1,600 grand prize.
The package includes a MotoChic Lauren Sport backpack, a Gigi Montrose riding jacket, a Wind and Throttle $150 gift certificate, Modern Moto Magazine one-year subscription, and much more.
All entrants also get a chance to win a free Can-Am training class at 3 Wheel Safety Training in Santa Clara CA, a value of $75. You have until May 7, 2018 to enter, and the grand prize winner will be announced on May 14 2018. If you're interested, and why wouldn't you be, you can read all the contest details on motochicgear.com.
Good luck and happy riding!
