Own A Yamaha Ténéré Or Other Dual Sport? You Need To Know About This Off-Road Event
You ready to take your riding skills further?
Do you own a Yamaha Ténéré (either Super or 700)? How about another Yamaha dual-sport motorcycle over 250cc? If any of these things describes you, then you'll want to know about the first-ever Yamaha Ténéré Trek, scheduled to take place from August 6 through 9, 2026. It's a Yamaha dual-sport owners rally, convening in the lovely and mountainous area of Tamarack, Idaho.
This event, says Yamaha, is intended for owners of all experience levels; not just seasoned ADV riders. While there will be plenty of trail rides scheduled over the course of the event, there will also be on-site riding seminars, as well as training opportunities to help riders improve their skills and boost their confidence levels. Naturally, Yamaha will also be bringing along its entire T7 lineup for attendees to try out, including the World Raid.
It all kicks off on Thursday, August 6, 2026, with attendees arriving to the event and meeting one another at a Welcome Dinner. Friday and Saturday, the 7th and 8th, will be spent riding, hitting up the selection of vendors who will also be in attendance, eating dinner, and just having a good time with other Yamaha dual-sport owners.

The way Yamaha has structured this event is kind of like an organized choose-your-own-adventure type of deal. While participant/rider registration is set at a firm US $250 per person, and passenger/guest registration (if you bring a pillion) is just $50, it's up to each attendee what kind of lodging experience they want to have over the course of the event.
If you want a room at the Tamarack Resort, where this event is being held, Yamaha will have some special negotiated rates for you. All lodging costs will be in addition to the registration fee(s) you pay to attend the event.
If you don't want to stay at the resort, that's cool, too. The Curlew Campground, which is just about four miles north of the resort, will be available for attendees to camp out at for $50 (payable at registration). Finally, you can also choose to book yourself a spot in an Osprey Point Group Yurt for $75, and these lodgings include vault-style toilets and a central water situation. There are three yurts available, and each can house 10 people; just like the Curlew campsite, this is also bookable at event registration.
