KTM Debuts Its Enduro Dirt Bike Lineup. Same, Same, But Different

KTM has revealed what's new for its 2027 enduro lineup, just don't expect too much next year.

KTM has given us some stellar machinery in 2026, from the limited-edition Super Duke RR Track to the 450 Rally Replica. Those are two models that are sure to grab positive headlines in the wake of the financial difficulties the Austrian company has endured. So, you'd be forgiven for thinking the minimal updates to the 2027 enduro lineup are due to budget constraints, but the latest update actually aligns perfectly with the normal product lifecycle.

In 2024, the enduro range was overhauled, with 95% of components being new. Some of the highlights were new frames, closed-cartridge suspension, and the switch from TPI to TBI on the two-strokes. In 2025, there were cosmetic upgrades. Then, in 2026, the lineup received a mid-cycle refresh that focused on suspension and getting the 2-stroke range reclassified for competition-use only due to European emissions law.

Now, for 2027, it's essentially another cosmetic update. The XC-W range receives a fresh graphics update, which is expectedly in line with KTM's READY TO RACE identity. Apart from this, the ranges remain largely the same.

What do you think?

The 2-stroke range includes the 125 XC-W, 150 XC-W, 250 XC-W, and 300 XC-W designations, offering riders plenty of versatility to find the performance they need, with each machine focused on competition. On the 4-stroke side, there are far fewer options, as riders are limited to just the 450 XCF-W.

I certainly wouldn't look upon KTM's 2027 enduro lineup as left wanting. Sure, these are the same machines as you could've picked up for 2026, but with objectively nicer graphics. But KTM's enduro range is already far ahead of the competition in terms of performance, and look no further than the fact that the brand took first and second place at the Erzbergrodeo, the most difficult hard enduro race in the world. If anything, this news just makes me more excited to see what KTM has in the works for 2028.
