This Yamaha Scooter's New Colors Are So Cute, I'm Screaming
In a vibes-based economy, the Yamaha Vinoora is a literal queen.
Guys, I don't know how familiar you are with the Yamaha Vinoora. But if you love cute things, scooters, or both, you probably should be. Developed by Yamaha Taiwan, this adorable scooter absolutely has a face of its own, and no mistake. From its introduction in Taiwan in 2020, it instantly started racking up the squeals and coos of fans across Asia.
The design was one thing, but the colors? The colors were absolutely on point in 2020, with a gorgeous matte blue and matte black (meant to look a bit tougher if you didn't want to go full tilt on the cuteness) on offer.
And now, in 2025, the color range has just been expanded to give the people more of what they want. Hey, there's a reason why KitchenAid mixers, SMEG appliances, and Stanley cups all come in a bazillion different colors and finishes, right? People do like a pop of color in their lives. It's a fact.
The Vinoora is an adorable, unassuming, neo-retro little 125cc scooter that uses Yamaha's BlueCore single-cylinder engine. Seat height is 74.5cm, or about 29.3 inches. Listed weight is 94.5 kilograms, or just a hair over 207 pounds (though it's unclear whether this is at the curb, or a less useful dry weight). Conveniences include LED lighting, a handy underseat storage area, a USB-C socket up front for your phone, and of course available super-useful accessories like this handlebar bag/drink holder.
Yes, that's right; with all the cute colors that the Vinoora now comes in, combined with the OEM accessory handlebar bag/drink holder, you could totally match. I have every confidence. Not sure what I'm talking about? Look at this extremely clever little unit. Seriously, it's some genius design for a little urban hopper like the Vinoora. The perfect place to stick your boba on the go!
What's that, you say? Style AND practicality don't have to be at odds with one another? Astonishing news, guys!
Ah, but seriously, if this isn't the perfect little city hopper, I'm not quite sure what would be. It's the Fiat 500 of scooters, probably. Adorable, petite, colorful, and a much-needed splach of joy in an increasingly beige and dingy vehicular landscape. If this was offered in my market, I'd absolutely want one. Sadly, it isn't; but if you're in Taiwan, or if these colors make it to Japan or other markets where the Vinoora is likely to turn enough heads (and wallets) for Yamaha to port it over, then I hope you'll give it a look.
Don't mind me and my envious glances from across the ocean when you do.
