Hot bikes and hot cocoa.

Remember March, 2020? If it’s a bit of a blur to you, you’re definitely not alone. In fact, the first 10 months of this year have felt just about like 10 years, to be honest. Anyway, in amongst all those early-2020 postponements and cancellations, Wisconsin’s Mama Tried and Flat Out Friday pulled the plug at the last possible second.

At the time, organizers of both events very much hoped that the coronavirus situation would resolve itself so that both events could still happen at some point in 2020. Unfortunately, as we’ve since seen, that hasn’t been the case. In fact, at the time of writing, things in Wisconsin are just about as serious as they’ve ever been since mean old ‘Rona came to town.

That’s why MT and FOF organizers announced that their next event won’t be taking place in February 2021, like they’d hoped. Instead, the entire weekend is shifting to December 3 through 5, 2021. Tickets purchased for the 2020 event will be valid for 2021, and refunds are currently still available through whichever venue you purchased them, according to organizers.

2021 Flat Out Friday

“We'll get right to the point, we as a team we have decided that February of 2021 for the rescheduled Show/Race is just too soon. Wisconsin will not be ready for that. And we don’t want to get everyone stoked and start making travel arrangements for another “maybe,” reads the official notice Mama Tried posted on its webpage.

“So, we are going to push the Show and Races to the December 3rd/4th/5th 2021 weekend. We know it's not in our usual winter/February time frame, but since not much is normal anymore AND that's the soonest we could get a slot at the Fiserv Forum for Flat Out Friday Racing, December 3rd/4th/5th 2021 it is,” it continues.

“We’ve all been through a lot this year, so hang on a little longer for us. We will be working on some interim fun stuff for this spring and summer, some small events to stay active and keep the love of bikes flowing. As we're sure all of you will be too. Everyone has had lots of time and looks like we’ll have plenty more, to contemplate what the future can look like. So, stay in touch with your builds and rides and backyard project dreams, and we will do the same.

We love you all!!! Thanks for sticking with us. We promise that when we can have a real in-person/analog show again that it will not disappoint.

Thanks again. Take care of your loved ones and see you in 2021!”
