Why We Want to Race the Dust Hustle, and You Will Too
Ellaspede's Dust Hustle is an event worthy of your bucket list. Watch this fun recap and find out why.
The guys over at Ellaspede devised an ingenious take on Sideburn Magazine's "Dirt Quake" race: Flat track racing with the unlikeliest and fantastically inappropriate mixture of bikes. That being said, you have no real excuse to not get there and race yourself!
Well, actually... the lack of funds to travel to Brisbane might prove to be a hinderance. But if you find yourself in Australia with a Vespa and the itch to to take on a CB550 around a flat track, than there's no better place to be than at the Dust Hustle. Yeah, you read it right, you can race your Vespa against a CB550!

Ellaspede, a Brisbane native bike shop, knows how to throw a party. Debuting for the first time ever in the fall of 2014, Dust Hustle took off like wildfire, attracting 85 riders of varying machines and some 500 spectators. Ellaspede's recap video (below) highlights the best of Dust Hustle and shows the world it's secret to success: unfathomable amounts of fun and its... special requirements.

Dust Hustle has no class restrictions and allows virtually anything with two wheels -- motor–scooters, super sports, choppers, cruisers, bobbers, vintage classics, trials bikes, even sidecar racers–to duke it out, all at the same time. This brings together the loopiest and most diversified group of riders (novices to track hardened pros), on one flat track, the motorcycle racing world has ever possibly seen.
So what does all this add up to? Arguably the most unique and fun grassroots race event you could ever attend. Where else would you see Batman racing against a bobber? Put it on your bucketlist, you can't miss the next Dust Hustle.
