A writer of one of RideApart’s sister websites has been awarded the prestigious Premio Motorvalley award for excellence motorsports journalism.
Netherlands F1 and WEC reporter Erwin Jaeggi received the award Sunday in Brisighella, Italy, as part of the 2016 Bandini Trofeo celebration.
The annual award symbolizes outstanding journalistic commitment and passion while recognizing the important role motorsports media play in covering international Grand Prix racing.
“I feel deeply honored to receive this award from the highly regarded Bandini Trofeo organization,” Jaeggi said. "I've been writing about their famous prize giving ceremony ever since I started working as a F1 reporter and to actually be a part of this now, is just incredible. I'm really looking forward to what promises to be a great event.
"It's been an amazing year so far for Motorsport.com - Netherlands. The sensational results of Max Verstappen, this year's recipient of the Bandini Trofeo, have certainly helped us to get off to a flying start. But the real fuel to our success is that we are able to serve our visitors high quality content and for this we have Motorsport.com's entire network of highly skilled journalists, photographers and video producers to thank for, as well as our marketing team and everybody working on the back-end of our fantastic platform."
Jaeggi, 34, currently serves on Motorsport.com – NETHERLANDS where he leads all digital F1 and FIA World Endurance Championship coverage on the Dutch platform.
“We are thrilled to see Erwin recognized for his outstanding journalistic efforts,” said Charles Bradley, editor in chief, Motorsport.com. “Since joining Motorsport.com, Jaeggi has made our Dutch edition one of the most-read digital platforms within our network.
“His work covering Grands Prix and on WEC events is spectacular and a must-read for in the region, and also a contributor to the strength of our global English-language site. He is well deserving of this honor and we are proud to have him representing our brand and the Motorsport Network.”
Motorsport.com is part of the Motorsport Network of companies.
