If you or anyone you know owns a 2024 Fly Wing Snake 250 EFI motorcycle, a new safety recall was just issued through the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for every last one of these bikes that was sold in the US. The issue relates to the brake pads installed on the entire run of these bikes, which apparently do not work as expected in wet riding conditions. Braking distance in wet riding conditions may be extended beyond what a rider would normally expect, which could increase the risk of a crash and/or injury.

A total of 216 motorcycles are included in this recall, which represents 100% of the population. All 2024 Fly Wing Snake 250 EFI motorcycles sold in the US are included. As part of the recall, the manufacturer, Taizhou Qianxin Vehicle Co. Ltd., will replace the defective brake pads with properly working brake pads, at no charge to the owners. The replacement brake pads have been tested and are made by a different manufacturer, and should perform as expected.

What do you think?

Taizhou Qianxin Vehicle Co. Ltd. will notify its dealers about this recall between the dates of June 1, 2026 and June 15, 2026. That date range is also when it plans to notify all registered owners of the affected motorcycles about this recall. Affected VINs should be searchable on the NHTSA database as of June 16, 2026.

Owners will be instructed to visit their nearest dealer for recall and brake pad replacement service. Owners may contact Taizhou customer service at 1-732-895-9577. Additionally, owners may contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-888-275-9171) or go to www.nhtsa.gov
