Alpinestars And El Solitario Launch Mowat Drystar Jacket And Pant

Spanish custom shop El Solitario is back with something a bit different—a collaboration on a waterproof two-piece riding suit with Alpinestars. The Mowat Drystar Jacket and Pants are here to keep you comfortable and protected for your adventure touring needs. Let’s take a closer look. 

Both Mowat pieces are made with Alpinestars’ Drystar protection, and feature polyester rip-stop construction with double polyurethane coating and leather patches in key areas for added protection. The interior has 600D polyester reinforcement, and thoughtfully placed stretch and accordion panels on both pieces help ensure a snug, secure, comfortable fit on your body.  

Level 1 Bio Armor comes standard in shoulders, elbows, and knees, and pockets for Nucleon chest and back protectors are included (these armor pieces are sold separately). Additional details include YKK waterproof zippers, strategically-placed hook-and-loop closures to adjust your fit and close things up nicely, and a rubberized edge on the touring jacket collar for added comfort.

Removable thermal liners in both the jacket and pants make it easier for you to layer up or down to suit weather conditions. The Drystar breathable waterproof membrane is fixed inside both pieces, so no matter what the temperature is, you can stay dry and also not feel like a steamed potato. Zippered vents in the front and back of the jacket and also in the thighs of the pants help you optimize airflow. Reflective details throughout both pieces help you get seen by other traffic, wherever you’re riding.  

There’s only one color palette for this duo, and it is Sand and Black. Both pieces are available from sizes small to 4XL. MSRP on the jacket is $469.95, and MSRP on the pants is $249.95. Check with your local Alpinestars dealer for availability information. There’s no mention of this being a limited edition collaboration, but your Alpinestars dealer should be able to answer any questions you may have.
