The 2014 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce comes with the tagline, "emotional touring." Sounds apt, have you ever seen an upright ADV-style bike look this pretty? Should be functional too, thanks to the 800cc, inline-three engine complete with the full package of rider aid electronics and even semi-active suspension.
The Turismo Veloce uses the same, 798 cc, liquid-cooled, inline-three as the MV Agusta F3 800 and Rivale, however here it is detuned to deliver 123 bhp at 11,600 rpm and 62 lb.-ft. of torque at 8,600 rpm. It's controlled by a ride-by-wire throttle, programmed with rider-switchable engine maps which can individually alter everything from power to torque to throttle response to how harshly the rev limiter kicks in.

And that's just the start of a sophisticated electronics package which includes traction control, wheelie control, ABS, quick shift and even semi-active suspension.
That semi-active suspension, which is available only on the "Lusso" model, works by detecting the behavior of the bike and rider, using that data to inform constant updates to the rebound and compression settings, front and rear. You still need to dial in preload to suit onboard weight.
All that is controlled by bar-mounted buttons and the five-inch Thin Film Transistor display, which also incorporates GPS navigation. Integrating the navigation with the motorcycle's main display allows the rider to easily monitor directions along with speed, fuel consumption, range and all other parameters.

While the Turismo Veloce's steel trellis/cast aluminum frame may look similar to that of the F3 800 and MV Agusta Rivale, it's actually completely new, with a wider frame section for the trellis component and new aluminum swingarm pivot plates that mount the center stand. Yes, there is a center stand on an MV Agusta. Heresy?
