KTM's Adventure Rider Rally Is Turning 21. Here's How To Join The Fun This Year
And everyone, and we do mean everyone, is welcome.
If you've been waiting for registration to open for this year's KTM Adventure Riders Rally in the US, good news: It's time! This year's dates are set for September 17 through 19, 2026, and it'll be based at the Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg, Idaho. Only 200 spots are open for this event, so you may want to move quickly to assure your place if you're itching to go.
KTM will provide GPS tracks for this event, but the routes will be self-guided, and you'll need to bring a GPS device in order to utilize the tracks. You'll also need to reserve a Motorized Vehicle Use Permit to hit the trails in Idaho.
You don't have to have a KTM to participate; as long as you have a street-legal motorcycle, you can sign up to join in the fun if this sounds like your idea of a good time. Or, if you'd rather fly in and ride, KTM has also partnered with Colorado Motorcycle Adventures to make bike rental packages available for this event, as well.
Special negotiated rates will be available to participants who stay at the Silver Mountain Resort for this event. Participant registration for the 2026 KTM Adventure Riders Rally will be $600 plus an $18.23 processing fee, and there is also a meal-only package available for non-participants in the riding portion of the event (who come along as plus-ones with registered participants). The meals package is $250 plus a $7.78 processing fee. These event registration fees exist on their own and are separate from any lodging, permit, motorcycle rental, or other fees that you may incur to attend this event.
To find out more about the trail permit you'll need, the motorcycle rental program, or simply to register for this event, you can hit up the official event registration page here.
What's that, you were hoping for an overseas KTM adventure in 2026? Well, friend, then you might want to check out the information for the 2026 KTM New Zealand Adventure Rallye, which will take place from Monday, December 7th, through Saturday, December 12th, 2026. This event was originally scheduled to take place in March 2026, but was postponed due to weather. Just 120 riders will be able to sign up, so this is another instance where signing up sooner is better if you already know that you can't miss it.
This event requires attendees to have a KTM motorcycle in good working order, and will include guides, luggage and tech support, GPS tracks, medic and tire support, and a host of other amenities. The cost per participant will be $2,195 NZD, which works out to US $1,263.77 at the time of writing. Full details on (and registration for) the New Zealand KTM Adventure Riders Rallye can be found here.
