These Yamaha Ténéré 700 Fairing Kits Bring The 1970s Back. Bell Bottoms and Acid Not Included
These kits don't even need Doc Brown, Einstein, or a Mr. Fusion.
Just over a year ago, the Lisbon, Portugal-based custom shop Holy Moly showed up on our radar thanks to some gorgeous, perfect retro fairing kits for the Yamaha Ténéré 700. And now, they're back with the next chapter in their T7 customization story; this time, with even more time-travel!
While the kits from 2025 kicked it back to the 1980s and '90s, the ones from 2026 are heading all the way back to the 1970s for their design inspiration. Holy Moly is calling the kit by the very innocuous name of "Retro 2.0," and it's available in six colorways: White/Red, Black/Red, White/Blue, Black/Blue, White/Green, and Black/Green.
No matter which color you choose, these kits are made to fit all regular 2019 through 2024 T7s, but not the World Raid or World Rally versions. They also won't fit the 2025s, so keep that in mind if you're casting longing glances at your computer screen and doing random fantasy math in your head to see if your bank account is up for the challenge at the moment.
The kits all include an E-approved LED headlight, a headlight plug that's made to go right into the stock wiring loom, LED turn signals with adapters and mounts, front fender, half lower fender, 3D-printed display holder to fit either your LCD or TFT dash (you'll have to specify which you want in your order), a complete set of plastics with the decals already applied (custom decals available upon request), an aluminum radiator guard, and a flexible tail tidy with your rear turn signals, wiring adapter, license plate holder/light/adapter ready to go.
Holy Moly lists currencies and shipping options all over Europe, the US, and Canada, and cautions that each of its kits can take up to four weeks to build as a custom item before shipment. US pricing for the kits starts at $1,778, which seems pretty reasonable for a plug-and-play experience like this. At the time of writing, the OG Retro Kits are listed as Out of Stock on the Holy Moly website, but the Baja Kits are still available.
