This Might Be the Most Functional Multi-Tool Ever. It Even Glows In the Dark

Even in the darkness, this little multitool will shine.

I'm a big fan of gear that works. I get that sounds weird, but after years of testing products, you'd be surprised as to how much just doesn't live up to the manufacturer's hype or plain just doesn't work as intended. So when pieces of gear or tools come around that do, or at least promise just that, you gotta stand up and take notice.

That's what has me so excited for Team IF's OmniPro Wrench 3.0, as it apparently combines nearly all the usability and utility of a regular, old multitool, but does so in a truly innovative way, slimming the profile and adding functionality where you absolutely need it. But more than that, it solves a problem that everyone who's ever worked on a backcountry fix has encountered: finding the damn thing in the dark or in your backpack when no light is available.

Oh yeah, this multitool literally glows.

According to Team IF's Kickstarter, "Every compact multi-tool you’ve tried has lied to you. More functions. More gimmicks. More frustration. OmniPro 3.0 tells the truth. One wrench that actually works. And does more when you need it."

As for the OmniPro 3.0, it features 15 different tools, including a ratchet, bit driver, knife, adjustable wrench, emergency glass breaker, pen, calipers, bottle opener, and more. It can even double as a phone stand. And the OmniPro 3.0 does this in the same footprint as your average iPhone, which makes keeping it in your pocket and an easier proposition than traditional multitools from the likes of Leatherman or Gerber. Likewise, it's made of titanium, which makes it as light or lighter than others of equal capability.

But the coolest feature of the OmniPro 3.0 is that Team IF inserted eight tritium slots throughout the design, which promise to glow in the dark for up to 25 years. So that backcountry bolt repair that's sidelined you into the wee hours of the morning, yeah, you won't be stuck searching the ground on your hands and knees trying to find the old-fashioned wrench you just lost. Nope, it'll be "right there!" as the tritium cells glow.

What do you think?

As for price, Team IF wants a cool $259 for the OmniPro 3.0, which honestly doesn't sound all that bad given the capability. However, if you're part of the brand's Kickstarter, you could get one for your contribution to the cause for just $159. Team IF states that the plan is to start shipping product out later this year, most likely around September, and the group already surpassed its fundraising goal by a whole heck of a lot, so the OmniPro 3.0 is absolutely coming.

What do you all think, though? You ready to put in for what appears to be the most capable multitool ever?
