onX Offroad Is Looking For Folks For Its Trail Revival Projects This Year, So Apply Right Now

There are a handful of powersport or powersport adjacent companies that are doing really great conservation work, work that benefits us all. And in a sea of seemingly never-ending bad news, it's nice to highlight these folks' priorities and what they're doing for the community. One of the biggest names in that space are my friends at onX. 

Now, I've used onX for a while now. They've helped me in my hunting escapades, as well as when I've set out to go off-roading and snowmobiling, as the apps are absolutely essential for those setting off onto new grounds and without the ability to put boots on the ground ahead of time or have access to on-demand satellite imagery. 

And in my own experience, it would've made tracking my hunts and finding my quarry near impossible. 

But onX as an organization does a lot of conservation work, stuff that helps all of us whenever we go out into the woods. And one of those ways the company does that is through its Trail Revival projects, where everyday groups and or people or clubs can give them a shout and seek some help to fund on-the-ground work that needs to get done.

Wouldn't you know, onX just opened up the 2026 applications too.

"At onX, we see firsthand that local off-roaders are doing some of the most meaningful stewardship work on the ground, and we’re proud to support them again through our 2026 Trail Revival projects," said Haley Fetzer, Marketing Director of onX Offroad in a press release, adding, "For too long, these efforts haven’t received the resources or volunteer support they deserve. This program is about helping close that gap and empowering off-roaders to care for the places they love. We encourage communities across the country to apply and help strengthen access to outdoor recreation where they live and ride."

The 2026 Trail Revival project will see up to $10,000 donated to individuals, clubs or groups to help maintain public lands access, trail cleanup, and other projects to ensure we all the ability to recreate off-road. onX states that the funds could be used for clearing downed trees, rebuilding washed out roads, removing obstacles, cleaning the trails, and more, and that last year, the Trails Revival project doled out $50,000, repairing more than 30 trails, and helped muster over 400 volunteers to help with the projects that spaned the United States.

According to the company, "Members of the offroad community from across the United States are encouraged to apply HERE for the first round of 2026 Trail Revival Projects before the March 1st deadline." And I'm going to use my voice right here to say, apply! With the current budget cuts occurring at a federal and state level within regard to the US Forest Service, the BLM, and indeed, the entire Department of the Interior, your favorite off-road, snowmobile, and hunting and fishing trails, the stuff you use to access the great outdoors, those are going to be suffering those cuts. 

We all need to step up and take on a more stewardship role for our public lands. Because the feds absolutely don't want to do it, and they're counting on our apathy so they can sell it all off. We can't let that happen, so apply for a grant, get outdoors, do some good conservation work, feel better, and protect our public lands!
