MV Agusta’s Fourth-Generation Brutale Promises To Be Better Than Ever, Just Wait for EICMA

I often get asked the "if money was no object, what motorcycle would you buy?" question. And, depending on what way the wind is blowing, I'll often answer with "An MV Agusta Brutale". Most of the people who ask the question aren't bike nerds like us, but they all light up when they see a picture of a Brutale, regardless of which of the three generations they see. Well, soon, we'll have another generation to drool over.

The Italian brand announced that it'll unveil the latest generation of Brutale at EICMA, this November, and it'll be powered by a new 950 EVO triple. Next year will be the model's 25th anniversary, so giving it a special update, like a new powerplant, makes sense. But that's not all that it's getting because accompanying the new engine is a redesigned chassis.

“In 2001, the Brutale rewrote the rules of the naked category, instantly becoming an icon. Today, 25 years later, we celebrate that revolution with a new generation that does not simply rebirth itself but evolves, representing a renewed interpretation of our vision: going beyond pure performance,” says Luca Martin, MV Agusta Chief Executive Officer. “The new Brutale is more powerful, refined, and thrilling, yet it remains true to its soul: a motorcycle designed by riders, for riders. An icon Made in Italy, ready to inspire motorcyclists around the world for the next 25 years.”

We've known about the 950 platform since 2023, not long after KTM AG acquired a large stake in the company. However, a somewhat unfortunate chain of events means it'll be the first new MV Agusta model since the company's separation from KTM AG.

We don't know specifics, like whether it'll be an all-new 950cc triple or based on the 931cc triple that the Enduro Veloce uses. Right now, we only have a list of some general improvements, like increased power and torque, smoother throttle response, and the bike will be more refined and reliable—basically, just a better power train in almost every way. As for the redesigned chassis, we know it'll feature a new frame and swingarm, and new ergonomics as a result.

We also know that the fourth-generation Brutale will feature new suspension and brakes, but we'll have to wait until November 3—when MV Agusta spills the details on the Brutale 950 Serie Oro edition—to give the full breakdown on just how much this icon has improved for its 25th anniversary.
