Four wheels versus two: The eternal competition.

Well, maybe it's more of a competition for us bikers than it is for car owners, because beating supercars on a superbike, whether it's in a straight line or around some curves with something that costs a 30th of the price, is so bloody satisfying. Only, swap "supercar" for a Toyota GR DKR Hilux T1+ rally truck and "superbike" for a KTM 300XC-W, and you get what this video is about.

The competition between these two off-road monsters took place at Erzberg, with the truck driven by Dakar driver, Seth Quintero, and the bike piloted by all-around 2-wheel legend Carson Brown.

Before we get into the details of the competition, please note the cost of the machinery. A new or lightly used T1+ vehicle could run you anywhere from $500,000 to $800,000, whereas Brown's KTM has a retail price of $11,599. Now, sure, Brown has some extra trick parts for competing at the Erzbergrodeo, but it won't be a whole lot, and this is particularly true for the engine.

Realistically, you could easily have 50 of Brown's KTM for the cost of Quintero's Toyota GR DKR Hilux T1+.

The competition consisted of three parts: a drag race, a braking test, and a time attack. Now, please, before watching the video, tell us in the comments what vehicle you think won what part, and enjoy the video below.

All right, by now you know the bike took the drag race but I'll hold my hands up and say I did not expect it to take the time attack. Hats off to Brown because, although he's a certified ripper, this isn't his natural racing environment. But if there's one thing Brown doesn't have to prove to anyone ever again, is he'll race anyone, on anything, anywhere.
