If you're a Vespa fan, maybe you're already in Spain, participating in the Vespa World Days 2025 festival that just kicked off in Gijón yesterday. This year's festival started on May 1, 2025 and will run through May 4, so you still have a little time to get there if you don't want to miss it entirely.

But chances are good that if you're a mega Vespa enthusiast, you might already be on-site. After all, it's the single biggest international festival and gathering of Vespa enthusiasts from all over the world, and it's an annual event that's been going on since 1954. The 2024 Vespa World Days event celebrated the 70th anniversary of EuroVespa, and saw more than 30,000 attendees. Will 2025 break that record? Maybe, but maybe you should drop whatever you're doing right now and head on over just to make sure.

For those unfamiliar, it's got all the sorts of things you'd expect from the world's biggest international Vespa festival. Live music, food, drinks, live events, Vespa tours of the surrounding area, a Vespa Parade, and more. Another record that VWD set in 2024 involved over 15,000 Vespas participating in last year's Parade, making a line of scooters that was well over 16 kilometers (over 9.9 miles) long.

That's, um, a lot of scooters.

A new Vespa Trophy (a touring trophy award) will also be presented on May 4th, the final day of the 2025 festival. To participate, you'll need to ride your Vespa to Gijón and thoroughly document the journey with photos and official stamps in your tour book.
