Idiot Kia Driver Clearly Can't Read, Parks Car in Motorcycle Spot
Are you being an asshole or can you just not read?
Look, I won't make fun of Kia drivers. I think there are a lot of great people who drive Kia. I, personally, like the Palisade as it's a pretty competent machine. I also love the hamsters the company used to employ.
But the Kia Soul, for some reason, just always has this weird air to it. Maybe it's the boxy nature. Maybe it's the car's terrible handling—I once drove one while in Texas for Formula 1 where it was god-awful but acted as a surprisingly good banana cooler—its ho-hum interior, or the fact that I've been cut off by many a distracted Soul driver.
Whatever the reason may be, there's just something wrong with this car. And that goes for its drivers, too, especially the driver of this particular Kia Soul, who apparently can't read.
There already aren't many places around the country that offer designated parking for motorcyclists. In fact, I think I've only encountered such labeled parking on a few occassions where motorcycles made up the majority of an establishment's patrons. So when I do see it, it's a treat.
That's, obviously, not the case here where said Kia Soul driver either failed to clock the signage staring them in the face, as well as failed to see "Motorcycle" painted across the blacktop, and just parked within the spaces without a care in the world.
But should I give them the benefit of the doubt? Maybe they really didn't see the signs? Maybe they don't speak English? Maybe they're legally blind or can't perceive signs like some sort of weird colorblindness? Or, and this is me just spit-balling, they're just an asshole?
I think it's likely the latter as, if you look at the car parked to the right of them, they, too, are parked in motorcycle-parking-only spaces. So there are multiple car drivers who just don't like that there are motorcycle-only parking spaces and, in their defiance to "The Man," have parked where they believe they have a right to park! Take that, motorcyclists!
Anyways, happy holidays, fellow heathens!
