CFMoto CForce Owners Should Check Your Quads, They Might Be Part Of This Recall

There are many reasons why folks like you and me love doing what we do. Much to the disdain of our relatives and loved ones, riding a motorcycle, ATV, UTV, or any sort of powersports vehicle is definitely a great way to unwind, zone in, and get some much-needed R&R.

A lot of us, myself included, ride to maintain some semblance of control in our lives—something extremely relevant in today’s world, which can all too often feel like it’s slipping away from beneath us.

But before I get carried away with my existential dread, there’s something you guys need to know. And it’s particularly important if you’re the owner of any CFMoto CForce 800 and 1000 Touring ATVs. More specifically, if you got yours from any US CFMoto dealer from May through August of this year. And it’s because there’s an issue with the ATVs, and one that could very easily cause you to lose control of the thing.

CFMoto has issued a stop-ride notice on the two models following four reports of a stuck throttle. This means that at any given moment, the throttle could fail to return to the idle position, potentially causing the rider to lose control and either smash into a tree, drive off a cliff, crash into a river, run over a crowd of campers, or drive straight into a grizzly bear’s den—definitely not a good time.

Thankfully, there haven’t been any reports of serious accidents following the issue, but there was one minor injury resulting from the issue in the report.

Now, if any of you own or know anyone who owns a 2024 CFMoto CForce 800 Touring and CForce 1000 Touring, well, it’s best you either get in touch with your nearest CFMoto dealer, or tell your friends to do so, as their life could quite literally depend on it. And of course, until then, it might be a good idea to leave your ATV parked in your shed.
