A Trike Stark Varg? Sure, Why Not
The fine folks at CBoysTV are at it again, building wild machines and tearing things up. But their latest build, a Stark Varg converted to a trike has to be one of their wilder builds.
As of this writing, I legit just stepped into my house after ripping my Stark Varg EX through our neighborhood. I popped many a wheelie in my blast and never once did I think, "You know what? I think this needs less weight at the front, more weight at the rear, and better traction so I can backflip it from a standstill."
Because, and I don't know if you know this, the Stark Varg EX has a metric ton of torque and it can apply that torque in one fell swoop and twist of your wrist. Even on loose surfaces like the very dry dusty gravel roads of my neighborhood.
Yet, that's exactly what the CBoys thought when they took their own 80-horsepower Stark Varg EX, pulled the rear single wheel off, and then converted it into a trike. One more wheel for twice the fun, right? That's how that works?
"All right, folks, as you might know, they stopped making three-wheelers in the '80s. For obvious reasons, as they were really dangerous," states one of the boys from the channel. But they then proceed to state why three-wheelers need to make a comeback, and why they're building one using the all-electric Stark Varg as its basis.
"So it's going to be an 80-horsepower three-wheeler, but it's electric, which is...going to be insane." You can say that again.
Through my own testing of the 80-horsepower Stark Varg EX, I don't even like going above 50 horsepower, as it feels like almost too much power for anyone. Sure, maybe Marc Marquez could tame it, but we're talking about 80 horsepower in something that weighs just a hair over what I weigh, and the ability to unleash all that power upon the twist of the throttle. No lag. No waiting. Just twist and hit Mach Jesus.
So yeah, a trike with MORE traction than the standard Stark Varg EX makes SO MUCH sense. /sarcasm
You'll have to watch the video above, but suffice it to say, an all-electric trike is a ludicrous proposal. It does, however, get me hyped about Stark's tease of its upcoming ATV. Sure, it's basically the same thing as this plus one wheel, but that could help tame this foul beasty. Maybe. Probably. Eh. I've lived long enough.
