This Is Your Once in a Lifetime Chance To Ride With Wayne Rainey at Laguna Seca
Rainey isn't the only star you'd share the track with.
I saw "Rainey's Ride To The Races" at Laguna Seca last year, and it was my personal low point of the races because I wasn't a part of it. All the fans riding together to the track, and then spinning laps—I thought nothing could be better, but I was wrong. This year's Rainey's Ride To The Races is better because you'll get to ride with the legend himself, Wayne Rainey.
This will be the fifth year of "Rainey's Ride To The Races", but the first time that the legend will gear up and ride alongside fans. Although Rainey won't ride the road portion of the trip, the three-time 500cc World Champion will spin laps around the track that he dominated during the 80s and 90s on a custom Yamaha XSR900 GP, which will no doubt feature Rainey's iconic red, white, and yellow paint scheme.
"Each year, 'Rainey's Ride To The Races' brings together some of the biggest legends of our sport, and it's always a great experience for us and our fans," said Rainey.
The event will take place on Friday, July 11th, which is the opening day of the fifth round of the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. If you are one of the lucky few who'll attend "Rainey's Ride To The Races", you'll join Kenny Roberts, Eddie Lawson, Bubba Shobert, Freddie Spencer, Kenny Roberts Jr., Rick Johnson, and Doug Chandler, to name but a few of the legends who've pinned their name to this event.
The list of attendees reads like a who's who of US racing, and it's hard to imagine ever getting the chance to be toe to toe, or wheel to wheel, with a group like this ever again. But as you can imagine, you'll need to pay for the privilege.
The ride is limited to 50 people who purchase the $700 Premium "Rainey's Ride To The Races" ticket. Along with the ride, these lucky few will get to attend a Q&A session and lunch with the legends mentioned above. If everything you've read made you think, "This sounds like the best way for me to spend $700", follow this link.
