If you've worked on both bikes and cars, then you already know that one significant pro of taking apart bikes is that they are, generally speaking, a whole lot smaller. In many ways, that makes it both easier and more practical to start wrenching on a bike than a car (assuming neither is super modern and you can still work on them yourself, of course). Parts you pull off take up less space, you don't usually need an entire engine hoist, and so on.

But what if you could have your own Kawasaki Ninja H2R, and it was even smaller? And what if I told you it would only set you back a cool US $119?

You'd probably look at me like I'd lost my mind, that's what. (Plot twist: Maybe I have!)

Or else, maybe you'd nod knowingly, because you've already looked at the images and title, and you know what's coming. This is a 1/16th-scale Kawasaki Ninja H2R metal model, and it's made by Nikola Toy. It comes with tiny front and rear stands, as well as a tiny little funnel you can use to fill up the gas tank when you've finished putting it together.

No, you don't fill it up with gas. Instead, you fill it up with water, and the little toy shoots steam out the exhaust as it makes engine noises. It's a working model, with a suspension that compresses, steering that turns, and lights that turn on and off. However, even though Nikola Toy also sells those cool Toyan model engines (which are real, tiny combustion engines), the H2R model does not have an actual tiny combustion engine inside. Sorry, hopefully that isn't too disappointing for you.

Still, back in winter 2024, it was LEGO's turn to rev us all up with a cool, buildable toy Ninja H2R. This time around, it's apparently Nikola Toy's turn. If you're the kind of mega H2R fan who's built both, I'd love to hear from you. Tell us all about it in the comments!
