From Deus Ex Machina’s refined lines to K-Speed's bravado, developing a signature style is important for custom motorcycle shops. For Droog Moto, the design language is straightforward: angular tank, shortened subframe and seat, race plate face with integrated lights and a snub-nosed high-mounted fender. Opting for evolution over revolution, the Washington-based garage further develops that signature style with its latest electric motorcycle build—DM-017 V2 E-Fighter.

Based on Zero’s DS model, the newest E-Fighter retains the iconic swingarm, battery pack, and chassis but does away with practically everything else. While the Zero lavished the bigger brother DSR with an recently, the DS still functions as a great base for customizers and Droog Moto did the model justice.

For the DM-017 build, the team adopted lightweight disc wheels shod in aggressive knobby tires, strengthened the braking system with Brembo components, and upgraded the suspension at both ends. Unsurprisingly, the fabricators shaped the E-Fighter’s bodywork to match the Droog Moto silhouette and added some LED light bars for some instant street cred. A leather tuck and roll leather seat, custom lighting molded into the subframe, and a tank mounted instrument cluster finish off the bespoke bike.

Still packing 78 lb-ft of torque, 46 horsepower, and topping out at 98 mph, the DM-017 is still a formidable dual sport but now it does all-terrain in style. However, all that style comes with a price and the V2 E-Fighter starts at a lofty $40,000. With that said, Droog Moto builds each bike to the customer’s preferences and no two examples are completely the same.
