Trying Zero's New EV Dirt Bikes Off-Road Has Never Been Easier, As Company Begins Offering Demos

Test rides and demo trucks can only do so much, especially when the bikes are meant for off-road riding. Enter the Zero X Line Experience.

Finding out about new and upcoming motorcycles is great, right? Only, if you're seriously thinking about throwing a leg over and getting on a new bike, chances are excellent that you'd like to ride it first. After all, these things cost money; no sense plunking down a bunch of your hard-earned cash on something if you're not reasonably sure you'll enjoy it, right?

While dealers and OEMs offer test rides and demo trucks, those usually have certain limitations. Although the format tends to work better for street bikes, the same can't usually be said for off-road machines, which can put them at a disadvantage. I mean, off-road riders want to know what a bike is going to be like ahead of time too, don't they?

Zero Motorcycles thought long and hard about this, and that's why they've created the X Line Experience. An off-road test, you say?

Certain select dealers in Europe are offering special off-road excursions where you can go and test the XB or XE in the very environments they're meant to be ridden in. We're talking greenlanes and single track, all on Zero's test fleet so you can find out how you get on with each of these bikes, one-on-one.

What do you think?

For the moment, there are locations available in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. I'm writing this in the back half of June, 2026, and Zero says that more locations and X Line Experiences are planned, so stay tuned for that. Hopefully that means they'll be expanding this program outside of Europe, too; I'm sure there are plenty of interested folks overseas who'd also jump at the chance to try an X Line machine in a proper environment like this.

If you're in Europe and you visit the link above, you can look through the different Experiences available, find out more details, and sign up for one if it interests you. It's one thing to read or watch someone telling you about their experience with any given bike, but it's completely another to go and have an experience for yourself. Good on Zero for giving riders this opportunity!
