KTM Sells MotoGP Race Bike On Facebook
Yes, please!
Do you ever dream of being a professional motorcycle racer? Do you have a cool €250,000 burning a hole in your pocket? If so, you could buy yourself a used KTM MotoGP bike right now and make your every dream come true.
KTM made a post on its KTM Factory Racing Facebook page on Wednesday, November 28, announcing the sale of a particular lot of bikes fresh off the factory floor. Among these bikes is, apparently, a pair of Big Orange's RC16 race bikes. That's right, for just a quarter-million Euros you could buy yourself a serious business MotoGP bike. It's not just the bike, either. Buyers who spring for an RC16 also receive a pile of extremely cool swag to go with their new purchase.
"Included in the very rare sale of this milestone of engineering are a number of other items," KTM said in the Facebook post. "The bike is accompanied by: a full set of Pol Espargaro’s race gear, a signed Pol Espargaro helmet, and the chance to become a member of the Red Bull KTM Factory Team for the weekend with a paddock tour, pitbox tour, a meet and greet with Pol and Johann Zarco, a set of Red Bull KTM team wear, and Red Bull Energy Station access all weekend at a Grand Prix of your choice."
Now that, my friends, is a hell of a deal. The thing is, once you have your amazing MotoGP experience and that bike lives in your garage, what do you do with it? It's not street legal, so you're not going to commute on it. Dedicated track bike? Start your own MotoGP team? Fastest objet d'art in town? Whatever you choose to do with your new race bike, you'll need a lot more than just the price of the bike, that's for sure. The old saying is, "To make a small fortune in racing start with a large fortune" for a reason.
