Will Superbike Factory Customers Ever Be Made Whole? Here's What The Administrators Say

After Superbike Factory went into administration, both recent buyers and sellers of bikes were left twisting in the wind. Here's the latest.

If you've been wondering what's happening for Superbike Factory customers who may have seemingly been left out in the blistering sun to melt after the company went into administration, so have we. As we've previously noted, a company called KR8 Advisory Limited has been appointed as administrators to oversee the process of sorting things out, as the Company itself is no longer trading as of July 20, 2026.

While all affected parties have been encouraged to continue to contact KR8 at the email address SBF@kr8.co.uk with any concerns they may have, it's also worth noting that the administration team has been posting occasional updates on the Superbike Factory website. Its first customer FAQ is dated July 28, 2026, just a week after the administration was first declared.

And now, its second customer FAQ is dated August 6, 2026, and it includes a host of information for SBF customers who have either paid for a motorcycle but not yet received it, or those who have sold a motorcycle to SBF but have not yet been paid for it.

Here's what it says for customers who have paid for a bike but not yet received it (Sold Bikes).

Currently, the administrators say that it does not appear that these motorcycles are the property of the company currently in administration. However, that being said, the administrators will be going by contractual evidence available to them to determine actual ownership of these motorcycles within this category. They also mention that a third-party funder of the Company currently in administration is now claiming that they hold the titles to the bikes that have been sold, but the administrators are currently working things out with that funder.

A further update is expected from the Joint Administrators sometime during the week of August 10, 2026. While competing claims between the third-party funder and the customers who say they have bought these bikes remain, the Joint Administrators say they cannot release any bikes until these matters have been fully resolved. There's also a bit that says, "the third-party funder has retained some of the Sold Bikes. However, the funder has confirmed by way of an undertaking provided to the Joint Administrators that it will not attempt to dispose of any of the Sold Bikes until the position is agreed by all parties." It goes on to add that, "The third party funder has agreed to safely secure and insure those motorcycles in circumstances where the Joint Administrators could not guarantee this due to the lack of funds available to the Company in Administration."

But still, the administrators are quick to add that they remain in control of the majority of the Sold Bikes. It's not clear what numbers are involved here, nor what (if any) delineation process was involved with regard to why the third-party funder has control of only some Sold Bikes, while KR8 has control of others. Will that be elucidated in the coming update? Time will tell.

As for the bikes that people sold to Superbike Factory shortly before they went into administration (Collected Bikes), and for which those previous owners were not paid, KR8 says it is also "adopting a neutral position," and that it plans to work to ensure that "all assets are made available to the rightful legal owners." In other words, if you have the paperwork to back your claims, now is the time to bring it to KR8's attention.

Once again, the third-party funder has reared their head, and "asserts title and ownership of the Collected Bikes and the Joint Administrators have requested the supporting legal and contractual documentation upon which they rely. Again, because of the potential competing claims of ownership between the seller of each motorcycle and the third-party funder, the Joint Administrators are currently unable to authorise release of any of the Collected Bikes to any party until this is resolved."

It then goes on to say that just like the case with the Sold Bikes, some of these Collected Bikes are currently in a situation where they are being stored and insured by that same third-party funder, and reiterates that a further update is expected later this week. At the time of writing, it's August 11, 2026, which is definitely during the week of August 10. We'll be sure to share any updates that follow.
