If you're a Honda Motocompo fan, a watch fan, and/or a font nerd, then you'll probably get an unbelievable amount of joy out of the upcoming Seiko 5 Sports MOTOCOMPO Limited Edition watch. Now, this isn't the first time Seiko has teamed up with Honda on a limited-edition watch design; a few years back, we had the one and only Super Cub as filtered through a watch design, too. It's also not the first time Seiko has had a hand in a motorcycle-related watch; remember the Kawasaki collab even further back?

But this is, if I'm not mistaken, the first time that Honda Motocompo fans have found themselves in the wristwatch spotlight. Is the design worth your time? Let's take a look.

With something so small, its worthiness is almost inherently about the details, and how they appeal to their intended audience. Let's start with the tiny box, which has been designed to be reminiscent of the cardboard carton you'd find the OG Honda Motocompo in if you bought it new from Honda back in the day.

The watch case is stainless steel, with a 36.4mm diameter and a 12.5mm thickness. Going across from lug to lug, it's 44.4 mm. The watch band is nylon, but it's proudly decorated with that one-of-a-kind Motocompo logo. Further small details include the free loop markings that say CARRYING POINT, which are reminiscent of strapping your Motocompo into your Honda City. Fittingly, the end of the strap is also marked as an INSERTION POINT, to continue the theme.

The face of the watch is painted in Motocompo yellow (while the Motocompo also came in red, the yellow is probably the one that sticks most readily in most people's minds). You'll find a Honda logo here, as well as the word AUTOMATIC written in Motocompo font. Incidentally, the crown also has a neat little TURN detail to enjoy.

Flip the watch over, and you'll see a Honda-red circle, complete with the Honda logo in silver, as well as a Motocompo silhouette and the words "Limited Edition" underneath. You'll also find the serial number, as well as the run number of your watch engraved (out of 8,000, which is how many of these Seiko is planning to release).

How much will this bright little beauty set you back? The price for this limited edition timepiece is US $375. While we're not WatchApart, I feel confident in saying this is probably one of the least expensive Motocompos you can possibly buy in 2026. If you need further proof, Bring a Trailer has a handy chart tracking the pricing that auctions for Motocompos (and Motocompactos) have reached on its site in recent years. (Please note, the most expensive ones in that chart also came with an entire car included with your Motocompo, hence the absurd price spikes.)
