Arai’s Limited-Edition AI Ogura Trackhouse Replica Helmet Hits Stores This August
Arai is releasing a limited-edition RX-7X Ai Ogura Trackhouse replica helmet this August, but there's no official word on whether it'll come to the US.
Trackhouse's Ai Ogura tore onto the MotoGP scene in 2025 with one of the best rookie seasons in recent history. He finished 4th in his first sprint race and 5th the following day in his first main GP race. The 2026 season is shaping up to be even better for Ogura, and there are rumors of a factory ride on the horizon in 2027, so now is the best time to get a replica helmet, before he's a fully fledged racing icon.
For all those who want to say, "I had this before he went factory," there's the RX-7X Ogura Trackhouse replica helmet. As the name suggests, the lid is Arai's top-of-the-line racing-spec RX-7X, which is the Japanese version of the Corsair-X and the model Ogura wears on track. This model will go on sale in late August, but it's only available for a limited time and in limited quantities.
The core design features multiple shades of blue as the base color with flowing lines and spurts of indigo throughout. The design is a mix of the traditional Japanese patterns of 'Edo Kiriko Chrysanthemum Connection' and 'Three Square Connection'. At the back of the lid are the words 'Fujin Raijn' (Wind God and Thunder God).
The Fujin Raijin is believed to have weather protection on its side, which didn't do Ogura tons of help in 2025 flag-to-flag races, but the weather has yet to take him down in 2026. Also featured on the helmet are the characters for 79, his racing number, which is written in Kanji numerals.
As you'd expect on an RX-7X, the shell is made from PB-SNC2 high-strength fiber and has all the racing features you'd get on a regular Corsair-X in the US. The helmet also comes with an aero fin to keep the rider's head stable at high speeds, but it's designed to detach upon impact, which ensures the lid still works with Arai's 'glancing off' philosophy to keep the rider safe and is still exceeding the strictest racing safety standards.
There has been no official release date in the US, so keep your eyes peeled in August because you might need to import a unit to ensure you get one before they sell out.
