Star of the Discovery Channel’s ‘Fast N’ Loud,’ and the mastermind behind Gas Monkey Garage, Richard Rawlings, is auctioning off his Can-Am Maverick X3 Max X RS Turbo RR on the powersport auction site DirtHammer. At no reserve!

Known for creating some crazy, custom hot rods, the Dallas-based fabricator built his reputation by bringing Texas vibes to the vintage custom car scene. Turns out he’s also a powersports enthusiast, too, and his choice of off-road weapon is none other than a Can-Am Maverick X3 outfitted with all kinds of aftermarket accessories.

According to the team at DirtHammer, Rawlings’ 2023 Maverick X3 is equipped with a custom stereo system from Audio Formz (11 speakers in total), and a kit that makes the Maverick street legal, depending on where you live.

The 900cc turbocharged Rotax triple makes north of 200-horsepower, which pushes the Can-Am forward on a set of 35-inch Maxxis Roxxzilla tires wrapped around the stock XRS beadlock wheels.

CT Race Worx suspension components have been bolted on to make the ride more comfortable for its new owner - and their passengers. There’s also a roof rack with a full-size Roxxzilla spare tire and matching Can-Am beadlock wheel, along with an Apex 5,500-pound winch attached to a custom front bumper, you know, for emergencies.

Tell us what you think!

Most folks go overboard with their UTV builds, adding an excessive amount of lights, then bolting on a bigger turbocharger, and generally pushing the stock platform to its limits. What I like about Rawlings’ rig is that it was clearly build to have a good time with a few friends.

The 200-horsepower triple is plenty enough power to get you into trouble, and the insane stereo system mounted to the roof and hanging off the top tube of the roll cage tells me that Rawlings did more pleasure cruising than punishing rides with his rig.

The two-week auction started on April 22, and is slated to close at 6:00 pm EST on May 6. So, if you’re in the market for a well- sorted, street-legal Can-Am with an interesting pedigree, and ride that I’m sure your neighbors will love, especially when you crank up the Free Bird, jump into the auction and place a bid.
