Bagger Racing Fans, You'll Get Twice As Much Racing With Harley's New 2026 Series

A slim six-event Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup calendar will accompany certain dates on the MotoGP calendar, kicking off in Austin in 2026.

After teasing big plans on the horizon, Harley-Davidson and Dorna officially announced the birth of the new Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup series. The first event will kick off in Austin, Texas during the 2026 MotoGP season, at the Circuit of the Americas race weekend. After that, it'll head to Europe for five additional rounds to complete the inaugural season.

Now, I know you've probably got some questions. I did, too; the first of which was, this new Harley Bagger World Cup series will be in addition to the existing King of the Baggers series that currently runs alongside MotoAmerica in the States, right?

RideApart reached out to Harley directly to clarify, and a Harley representative confirmed that yes, the two series will remain independent in 2026. So don't worry, King of the Baggers fans; the series will be back on the calendar to enjoy next year, in addition to this new Bagger World Cup series.

If you tune in to MotoGP broadcasts or go see races in person, you might just end up with twice your Bagger racing fix, in fact! With that in mind, here are all the race weekend dates for the 2026 Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup.

Interestingly, there's one little line tucked into the bottom of the press release that goes to show how different this series will be from what you might expect from the MotoGP paddock. While it probably won't be fully grassroots, the words that "prospective teams, riders, and sponsors are now invited to engage with the series as preparations accelerate for the 2026 debut season" certainly paint a more grassroots-adjacent effort than is usually associated with MotoGP.
