If You've Never Tried A Sea-Doo Before, Add It To Your Vacation List

PWCs are a blast and a half, once you know (and respect) how to control them. Here's how I went from zero experience to blastoff.

Sometimes, you think you know what you're getting yourself into. Or at least, that you have a pretty good idea. And so, you get yourself ready, get any necessary gear together, wear the right clothing for whatever thing you're trying to do, and you head out.

And then, sometimes, it turns into something more than what you expected. That's kind of what happened to me last month, when I had the chance to try riding a pack of Sea-Doo PWCs for the first time ever. As I relate in that long-form piece, I had one main thought lodged firmly in my brain as my sandals quietly slapped my feet while walking toward the dock that morning: Sea scooter.

Since words can only convey so much in the case of an experience like this, we've got an entire video to show you a bit more of what it was like. Now, if you're an experienced PWC enthusiast, then you probably don't need me to tell you all this stuff that you already know.

But if you're like me, and you've never ridden a PWC before, I'm here to tell you that as long as you wear the right gear, and have plenty of water and sunscreen and snacks, you're probably going to have an amazing time.

What do you think?

It's also arguably better in a group (at least, your first time), so you can all check in with each other and cheer each other on as you're learning. Once you get really good at it, you may want to just go off on your own and do your own thing. It's kind of like motorcycles that way; amirite? Anyway, I digress!

Go check out the video, and maybe check out a PWC rental place next time you're vacation planning! BRP Experiences, which I also recently wrote about, has some tour providers all over the place that offer the current Sea-Doo lineup if you're interested.
