The US Women's Enduro Team Won This Insane Motorcycle Race for the Third Time
Tying the record for most ISDE wins, the US Women’s enduro motorcycle team is seemingly unstoppable.
For the last three years in a row, the U.S. Women’s World Trophy Team has stood at the top step of the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) podium after the final checkered flag waved. This year's ISDE, the 99th annual, took place from August 24-29 in Bergamo, Italy, and saw Brandy Richards, Rachel Gutish and Korie Steede collect the United States’ sixth Women’s World Trophy at the legendary enduro race, tying the record with Australia.
The U.S. has claimed four of the last five championships in the women’s class, this year leading the second-place Australian team by more than 35 minutes. And so, for the third-straight year, Brandy Richards claimed the individual title, while Korie Steede locked down a second-place finish, and Rachel Gutish earned fourth place.
That's not just stunning, but it's tied a record that they'll likely beat next year.
Brandy Richards and her FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers' 350 XC-F were nearly unstoppable during the six-day enduro, withstanding the constantly changing weather conditions, a field of fierce competitors, and a brutal series of tests aboard her KTM.
“I couldn’t be prouder of my teammates and myself for this winning result,” Rachel Gutish said in an AMA press release. “We gave it everything we had all week, and to win the race by the margin that we did shows how much effort we put in.”
On the men’s side, the American World Trophy Team managed a fourth-place finish at the ISDE, led by Johnny Girroir, Cody Barnes, Josh Toth, and Dante Oliveira. The host nation, Italy, claimed first place, while Sweden and France followed on the podium.
The American Junior World Trophy Team - which included riders Grant Davis, Cooper Jones and Mateo Oliveira - earned a fourth-place finish at the completion of the six-day competition; however, it was Italy who claimed the Junior World Trophy crown, with France and Australia finishing second and third, respectively.
As for what's next, the 2026 ISDE will be the 100th running of the event, so who knows if we'll see history repeat itself and a new record set.
