Pilot Releases $100 Full-Certification ST-17 Helmet
Pilot Motorsports has just released the $100 ST-17 helmet that meets al major certifications and features, a drop down visor and removable liner.
Pilot Motosport of Marietta, Calif., has released its first helmet, the ST-17, that carries DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE R.22.05 certification and sells for $100. “Pilot has taken all of its technical know-how and put it into designing a helmet that represents the highest level of quality and features offered in its price range.”
The econo-lid is made of injected-molded ABS, features a drop-down retractable sun visor, quick change face shield, venturi intake and exhaust system, and removable, adjustable and washable liner, and cheekpads that are adaptable for glasses. The design incorporates a removable breath deflector and chin curtain. The helmet has a two-year warranty. Initial color options are White, Black, Matte Black and Silver, available in sizes XS-XL.
According to the company, “Pilot set out to make a helmet that offered something more than what had come to be the standard with regard to affordable helmets. The goal was to create a helmet that truly punched above its weight class with regard to quality and features.”
