Rocking Riders: We’re Playing In The Dirt With EveRide
Another one carves the dust.
Every Friday, we introduce you to awesome riders we found on YouTube who share with us their unique outlook on the world of two wheels and, lucky for us, make videos out of it.
We’re going to have some fun off the beaten paths this week! We take the road less traveled with EveRide who takes us on off-road trips a lot of us haven’t been on, hitting gorgeous trails from all around. Whether he’s reviewing a bike like the all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan, tires or gear, he goes all out and provides some really relevant and insightful comments.
I particularly enjoy his ghost race series in which he times himself on different bikes trekking down the same trail and does a real-time comparison. For instance, it’s interesting to see how the RE Himalayan measures up to the Suzuki DR-Z400 E. He shares his impressions as he goes down the trail and faces the same obstacles.
He tests rain gear in the shower and protective gear with a grinder—the kind of overkill test that’s entertaining to watch but that’s also more accurate than a lot of regular tests we normally see.
While some of his videos are highly informative, others are simply fun to watch in true enduro-porn form. From the Moab desert to the Colorado Rockies, to the tropical jungle of Maui, he leaves no trail (and some questionable mid-bush shortcuts) untraveled. He rides on a wide variety of bike models which provides a lot of insight as to their behavior off the road.
Our host is obviously informed, passionate, and always hungry for more dirt as he takes us along for the ride. My colleague Justin discovered him on YouTube and shared away saying how much he enjoys watching the guy go even though he’s not much of an off-roader. As a “not much of an off-roader” myself, I have to agree with him—if anything, he makes me want to learn to do some proper enduro! What adventure have you gone on today?
