Yamaha Shares IMS Plans
Yamaha unveils its schedule for the upcoming IMS show in Long Beach, California.
Yamaha will display its 2017 model lineup – including the redesigned YZF-R6 – this weekend at the International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.
Other models on display include the FZ-10, FZ-09, SCR950, and several “Yard Built” custom bikes, including a reimagined VMAX, XSR900, SCR950, and SR400.
Also on display will be two-time and defending MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier’s #1 Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Factory Racing YZF-R1 Superbike, MotoAmerica Supersport Champion Garrett Gerloff’s #1 Yamaha Extended Service/Graves/Yamaha R6, and two-time AMA Supercross West Champion Cooper Webb’s #1 Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha YZ250F.
Fans can meet Yamaha riders Cameron Beaubier, Garrett Gerloff, and Cooper Webb Friday from 6-6:45 pm and again on Saturday from 11:15 am to noon. They will be signing autographs and greeting fans at the Yamaha Display Area. Free posters will be provided for the riders to sign and hand out to fans in attendance.
Demo rides at the Center parking will be Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm. Available models are the 2017 FZ-10, SCR950, and the 2016 V Star 1300 Deluxe, Stryker, FJR1300ES, FJR1300A, Super Ténéré, YZF-R1S, Bolt R-Spec, XSR900, FZ-09, FJ-09, FZ-07, YZF-R6, or YZF-R3. (To take a ride, you’ll need a valid motorcycle license , a DOT-approved helmet, long pants, enclosed shoes, a shirt, and eye protection. To ride an FZ-10 or R1S, you also must be at least 25 years of age.
In a random drawing from all entries received in the “Yamaha R1S Urban Ops Sweepstakes,” Yamaha will select one winner of a one-of-a-kind 2017 Yamaha YZF-R1S, tricked out with a complete assortment of Genuine Yamaha Accessories, select aftermarket upgrades, special graphics, and custom lighting.
