2017 MotoAmerica Race Schedule

The AMA/FIM North American Road Race Championship for 2017 will now include Sonoma Raceway in northern California's wine country as well as Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, Pennsylvania. For years, Sonoma (previously known as Sears Point and Infineon) was on the regular AMA Superbike rotation, but has not been on the docket since the MotoAmerica series was formed in 2015. Pittsburgh has never hosted an AMA-sanctioned road racing event so 2017 will be the inaugural year for the facility.

It's great to see the MotoAmerica schedule continue to expand and professional road racing reviving in the US after a few dark years following the 2008 recession. Below is the complete 2017 MotoAmerica race schedule which fires up in Texas sharing the weekend with Round 3 of the 2017 MotoGP Championship:

The track already hosts multiple track days, karting races and auto club events so it will be great to see the AMA Pros in action.
