You sit slightly higher and lean just a little bit further forward on the 890 Duke R, and the footpegs and controls are also positioned further back. The result is a more aggressive riding position, helping you cut cleanly and precisely through curves like the sharpest blade on two wheels.  

According to KTM, the 890 Duke R isn’t just a regular old scalpel like the 790 Duke. Instead, it’s apparently super scalpel. Precise handling allows it to cut exactly when and where you want it to cut on track, and also on the street. That definitely gives this Duke more of a track bias than its smaller-displacement sibling, and it’s up to you which ergos you prefer.
