More superchargers = more better. There are lots of reasons superchargers are wonderful, including the intake noise and violent, visceral acceleration they provide. That’s the true beauty of force-feeding a potent inline-four. On paper, the 197 horsepower Z H2 isn’t that powerful, but when I rode the first Kawasaki H2 I was astounded by the surging forces of acceleration. A supercharger has a way of feeling exponential and linear at the same time. That’s the beauty of a force-fed superbike motor. If Kawasaki wants to keep adding blowers to its line-up I’m 100 percent on board. If the Z is a success, maybe one day we’ll get a blown Z125 too.
