It's been an exciting season for MotoGP this year. Throughout the season, it usually becomes pretty obvious who is going to win the championship by this point; this year, however, it still seems to be up in the air.

The event made its ritual stop at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Aug 7th - Aug 9th and put on a fantastic show for the largest crowd at the stadium to date: 67,648 fans in total. While both practice and qualifying days presented dry conditions, the race day itself called for occasional rain. Such conditions added an exciting facet to the main GP race, prompting all teams to keep race bikes warmed up in case of rain mid race.

The race itself came down to dual duels, where Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo battled for 1st and 2nd while Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa fought for 3rd and 4th. Marquez was able to secure the 1st place position in only the final laps, while Rossi and Pedrosa continued to flop positions for a few laps towards the last quarter. Rossi remains 1st in the championship, Lorenzo 2nd, and Marquez 3rd. Here a few shots from the weekend.
