Yamaha started off their presentation right with the model that might surpass their best selling model, the FZ-09, with even more sales. Introducing the 2015 FJ-09.
The sport touring motorcycle market has been on a steady climb in sales. According to Yamaha, there are more owners who use their bikes for commuting than there were three years ago.
Before the FZ-09 was hands down Yamaha's best selling bike (and arguably their best in the company's lineup) so it make sense for them to offer a sport touring model. Based off the FZ-09, the FJ-09 has adjustable seats, pegs and handlebars. It'll include traction control (which can be turned off) and ABS standard. It'll also hold a gallon more than the FZ-09, at 4.8 gallons.
