New Monsters are always welcome.
Ducati’s most monstrous news in Milan (in terms of newness, not displacement) was the presentation of the Monster 797. The little brother of the new 2017 Monster 1200 employs the air-cooled 803cc Desmodue engine from the Scrambler line, re-jigged for sportcruiser requirements. The 75-hp Twin breathes through a single throttle body, with a slight increase in both power and torque over its on/offroad brethren. It should be a capable bike in Monster trim.
The Monster 797 is fitted with 43mm Kayaba fork, Sachs shock, Brembo mono block calipers and ABS. The Junior Monster retails for $9,295 in red with black wheels, and a hundred bucks more for the white model with red wheels.
