Last year's Moto Beach Classic was awesome, and Roland Sands Design is doing it again this weekend in Huntington Beach, California.

"From when the gates open to sundown, the Moto Classic Events are filled with lovers of all types of creativity and counterculture," reads the Moto Classic Events website. "At any given moment, engines can be heard on the purpose-built hooligan flat track while seagulls soar above the oceanfront events. Live music performs until the doors close on what many think are some of the most entertaining and authentic moto events to hit the coast of California in years."

Racing events range from the serious, such as drag racing and a sand flat track, to the less-than-serious, like minibike racing and stunt shows. There are plenty of non-racing activities as well, such as the Moto Classic Bike show and a vendor area. The Architects of Inspiration Art Show features a wide variety of motorcycle and surf-related art created by many local artists. With the Kidkana Mini Kids Race and surf competitions, the Moto Beach Classic offers something for everybody.

One of the most unique aspects of the Moto Beach Classic is the excellent selection of bands performing throughout the event. They include bands like The Offspring, Social Distortion, Pennywise, Rancid, Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Religion, FEAR, TSOL, and more. That's a serious lineup for a concert in and of itself.

Combined with a motorcycle event on this scale is an utterly brilliant idea. It proved successful last year, and it looks set up to repeat that success this weekend. It almost makes me regret that I am on the wrong coast to attend myself

If you're in the area, definitely check out the Moto Beach Classic. Also, keep your eyes peeled for an after-action report right here next week.
