In addition to its new ADV bikes for 2018, Triumph debuts its new weather-proof apparel collection.

Triumph is in a unique position as the sole marque licensed by Gore-Tex to use the weather proofing material in its in-house riding wear. To take full advantage of this, the British marque created an in-house design team to churn out an array of ADV gear as rugged and dependable as the machines its wearers are piloting.
Just like with adventure bikes, the quality of the design, materials, and craftsmanship of a piece of riding gear all play vital roles in how the end product comes out. Creating this type of gear involves quite the balancing act. The gear has to be comfortable and non-restrictive while also offering ample protection, as well as needing to be able to breathe while at the same time still being 100-percent water and wind-proof.
Triumph’s new 2018 ADV collection is a fine selection of all-weather jackets, pants, and gloves from three new families of gear, all of which come with the latest generation of D3o armor and Gore-Tex technologies. The use of kevlar, Armacor, and laminate construction all help to ensure these ADV digs can take a beating.
“Every part of our new adventure collection has been specifically designed and developed in our state-of-the-art Triumph facilities in Hinckley, UK. Developed, tested and manufactured to meet our stringent performance standards, Triumph’s dedicated clothing team are as obsessive about the performance, function and ergonomics of our clothing as our customers are about enjoying their riding experiences,” stated Triumph’s press release.
The first of the three new families is the Malvern range, a men’s heavy-duty, all-weather, all-terrain jacket, jeans, and gloves. The Malvern was designed to be worn together to create what Triumph calls “A Pro-suit.” The entire set is multi-layer, and the jacket features a removable inner soft-shell while the gloves boast two different layers, one for warmth and the other for grip.
LIke the Malvern, Triumph’s Brecon range is a jacket, jeans, and gloves set built to be worn together. Every piece features a removable Gore-Tex liner and Gore-Tex three-layer technology which results in an ultra-lightweight product that’s perfect for daily use.

The final range in Triumph’s 2018 ADV gear lineup is the ladies’ Snowdon jacket and jeans. The Snowdon range was designed to take on the most extreme conditions and features a trick Gore-Tex membrane Z-liner. The liner is bonded to a lightweight carrier fabric which is then freely suspended between the garment’s outer-most layer and lining, offering unparalleled warmth and insulation.
Lastly there are the Peak Gloves, a set of weather-proof gloves designed to work with any of Triumph's gear families. These gloves have D3o knuckle protection, and a Gore-Tex Z-liner membrane with faux fur lining.
It's fair to say that most riders enjoy buying their riding gear from their favorite bike manufacturers. It's certainly true of Harley guys and Ducatistas. These new Gore-Tex-enhanced gear lines from Triumph looks great, and are sure to be a hit with fans of Triumph's ADV bikes.
