Is Honda offering us a glimpse of the new CBR1000RR Fireblade?
Honda hints at high performance in the first video teaser for its 2017 model lineup. The title of the 30-second YouTube video is “Total Control” (apparently no connection to the riding school of the same name), and shows the POV from a motorcycle slicing into the front straight of a race track (looks like Thunderhill in California).
The audio swells with the rising rpm of a four-cylinder engine reaching the meat of its power band, then cuts to a thumping heartbeat, and the shot of the well-pilled shoulder of a rear racing slick.
Then the tagline: Sharper Than Ever.
We're assuming this teaser is for the Honda CBR100RR Fireblade that's been in various spy shots across the internet, and we suspect we'll find out more in roughly two weeks, when the Intermot show takes place in Cologne, Germany.
