Italian electric motorcycle cmanufacturer, Energica reports that it plans to build quick-charge stations on the worlds most popular roads.

Energica to Build Quick-Charge Stations

The Italian company Energica Motors plans to invest in a Fast Charge Infrastructure Program, with a network of stations on what they describe in a recent statement as “the best roads motorcyclists love to ride. This will allow Energica customers to enjoy the best roads without any range anxiety. Automotive industry and governments are investing on the main corridors, but motorcyclists like riding mountains/hills/sea roads, often located far away from them. Energica will fill the gap to guarantee EV motorcycle rides.”

The routes and locations for the projected charging stations are still under study, but the first round of installations has been identified for some locations in Italy and California, and are expected to be deployed by 2017.

In the press release it stated: “Energica intends to develop a 3 -year plan according to EV sales growth and market regions in partnership with EV infrastructure players. In partnership with several companies (Utilities, Hardware provider, charging services) Energica will either co-finance the installations of dedicated chargers (DC technology 20kw, Combo CCS standard plugs) or facilitate the access to existing ones."

Here's a look at the three primary motorcyclesin the 2015 Energica line-up. They are the EVA, EGO and EGO45.
