Our video of the day takes a look inside the combustion chamber of a four stroke engine in action. This is slow motion combustion from Warped Perception.
If you only watch one video today, make sure this is it. The folks at Warped Perception have bolted a clear acrylic head on top of a Briggs & Stratton four-stroke engine with the intention of capturing slow motion video that shows exactly how the combustion process looks a 4k. In the interest of scientific experimentation, they run gasoline, alcohol and acetylene in an effort to witness how these different fuels react inside the engine. Basically the gasoline represents a good-running engine, alcohol represents how it looks when running lean and the acetylene reveals the way things work when its running too rich. This is good stuff ladies and gentlemen so sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
